okay hold up if tony stark had the surgical technology to remove the shrapnel from his chest the WHOLE TIME then WHY DID HE HAVE TO INVENT A NEW ELEMENT TO KEEP THE REACTOR FROM KILLING HIM COME ON TONY GET IT TOGETHER
Maybe it didnt exist in the beginning? And then once the technology became available, tony loved being iron man too much
